GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
As a native Oregonian, Kathy believes she has a responsibility to give-back to the equine community and take positive action to sustain and grow our valued equestrian lifestyle. There are boundless threats to our quality of life, all of which are concerns to Kathy:
-
Need for a unified special interest group in the region
-
Need for community networking and education to strengthen businesses
-
Education for horse owners, trainers, and facility owners - help them understand how to avoid financial/legal risks in equine transactions
-
Reduction of pleasure riding trails
-
Encroachment of urban areas on open land
-
Crippling local government restrictions on horse shows and other equine businesses
KATHY'S POSITIVE ACTION IN THE COMMUNITY:
-
